On the other hand the 55-250 has an excellent reputation and starts out at F4, as the EF 24-105. So you would not loose much light, compared to the EF. It is half the weight and will give you much more reach.
I would only recommend the RF 24-70 if you're a professional shooter. It's heavy and big, especially on the RP (it's more balanced on the larger bodied R6), and its ridiculously expensive. It has fantastic image quality, but Canon really did well with the RF 24-105 f4, and most people can't tell the difference between images created with the two. The 24~105 f4 is a good lens. The 24-70 f2.8 costs more. In the end, its a higher performing lens with the ability to adapt itself to more shooting situations. Constant f2.8 through its entire range vs. variable on the RF24~105. There are enough reviews of both out there with the consensus clearly in favor of the 24-70.

A used EF 24-105 f/4 costs about the same as the rf 24-105mm f4-7.1. My gut feeling is to go for the EF, but what do you think? I was originally using the RF 24-105 kit for over a year before recently getting EF 24-105.
